“Naturally Ribbed”

  • Sex toys are a very intimate and essential part of trans and queer relationships. This was my first attempt painting one of my own sex toys as a representation of being queer and trans. I have done other smaller paintings of toys similarly but this is my favorite.

“Sammie”

  • This painting was my first attempt at a full color portrait painted from a picture I took of my friend Sammie in 2022. This was a challenge in that it was a friend of mine, my second ever attempt at a portrait, and had complexities of layers that I haven’t worked with before.

  • Relative to my interest in sex in queer and trans spaces, this painting was done from a picture one of my trans friends sent me wanting to be painted. They felt most confident in their body with their harness on, and I wanted to capture that.
